ABOUT
I am a London-based multidisciplinary artist + designer with 9 years of professional experience - a polite way of saying that I have been scribbling over every scrap of paper I can get my hands on since I could hold a crayon, but people started paying me for it approximately 9 years ago.
I have long been fascinated by visual identity formation - how meaning and cultural connotation can change at the slightest tweak to a shape or a colour. This obsession led me into classical fine arts training, where I deconstructed the world into oil on canvas. It also led me to Oxford University, where my research focussed on the evolution of aesthetics - why tastes change and how visual identities are rooted and built.
Today I work as something of a one woman show, doing everything from building + launching brands and designing interfaces / animations / packaging / books / digital advertising campaigns / etc - down to drawing illustrations and the odd oil painting commission. I love variety and I thrive on intricacy, be it a meticulous hand-drawn animation or a deliciously detailed infographic. I live for the challenge of communicating complex concepts as simply as possible.
